Its not the Chinese, take your pick from the list of entities trying to Ban Chinese Commercial and Hobbyist Drones. Do you really think China would spy using Drones with active Hazard Lights?
Top choices would be either the DOD or SKydio is behind it or both
If you add it up:
- Mostly a $20-free LED light-show.
- No high speeds....they arrive slowly, linger, drift...maybe five to eight hours (max).
- The water-start ‘script’? You only notice them when the lights come on. So they may have flown to bay/water area...flick the switch to ‘lights-on’ and you think they rise out of the water.
- State and local authorities trying to get to a final ‘end’....feds seem less interested. Odd that a Pentagon statement late in the week said...’it’s not our craft, and it’s not a adversary crat’.....how would they know it’s not an adversary craft?
- Nothing really high-tech...mostly just a light show.
- No signals to operate it? It’s pre-programmed....going to certain GPS points....linger, and then move to the next point. End of the ‘show’? Lights off, then fly home.
I’m still at 90-percent on this being a Chinese high-tech show.
Perhaps the hazard light are being mimicked so they blend in at night with air traffic. It’s hardly an unexpected trick.
mass hysteria
Indeed - the weird paranoid theories about Chinese and Iranians are bizarre.
These are domestic, there is a definitive purpose. It has to be known, and they (government) clearly doesn’t want to tell us.
That should narrow down WHERE the problem truly lies - who in government is trying to mindf**k the public?
