Seems like Google Maps and the satellites in space are already providing mapping and images. Like Fox guy says “They can see all the details of my backyard lawn furniture already from up there so who needs the drones now?”

And the CIA had articles and books blur their sample pictures a little despite the stories that they could read the headlines on the newspaper held by the guy on the park bench they were watching from a satellite. They didn’t want Russia and China to know how good the images were.

1ST. Will not ‘signal jamming’ or disabling the drone’s communication disrupt its control/navigation systems?

Wouldn’t the drone’s GPS signal jamming end the control of the drone’s ability to accurately determine its position or follow its intended flight path?

Why would they be mapping when you have spy satellites, Google Earth which is from older spy satellites, you can get detailed maps anywhere including, topographical and even Google maps has street view not to mention you can by detailed high def photos of practically anywhere on earth.

Definitely not looking for troop movements ealse. Best case would be “what’s the response” to see what happens but you’d use large aircraft to do that to see if your opponent lights up his radar and air defense systems so you can detect and capture, frequency type and locations.

Why not mapping? Satellite data has a technological limit of about 30 cm per pixel. Obviously drones at low elevation can produce higher resolution images.

I’m not sure if the cover-up is so massive. Biden hides. The Rear admiral obfuscates. And the drone operators put lights on their drones so that they are not breaking the law.
