That’s How You Overturn an Election
The American Spectator ^ | November 6, 2024 | Paul Kengor

Donald Trump will be the next president of the United States.

Now that, Donald Trump, is how you overturn an election. You win.

This time four years ago, Trump felt that he lost the 2020 election because of voter fraud. But the best way to reverse a loss that you don’t like is not by charging fraud but by regrouping and winning outright four years later.

Trump and his supporters should have understood that charging that an election was stolen is a lost cause. In a country the size of the United States of America, with 50 different states utterly un-united in terms of how they handle ballots, conclusively proving that a form of voter fraud swung an entire election is a nonstarter. The

SNIP

We call it filthy Philadelphia. That city where America was founded in 1776 is rotten in many ways. It’s scandalously corrupt.

SNIP

I got quite a bit of blowback for those pieces from non-Trump supporters. But I swear, I was simply trying to honestly understand how that massive lead by Donald Trump the night of Nov. 3, 2020, (we Pennsylvania Republicans had never seen such a lead for the GOP nominee in our state) could have disappeared. It literally seemed mathematically insurmountable. And yet, it slowly but steadily vanished as an untold number of mail-in ballots flowed in with no end in sight. I live in Pennsylvania and know key political people throughout the Commonwealth. I can tell you that no one had any idea how many mail-in ballots were in circulation. I recall CNN initially speculating that there were 1.6 million mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania. Soon, it was 2 million, and then 2.2, and 2.5, and on and on, straight to the moon. The total kept growing until finally Joe Biden passed Donald Trump.

The biggest “tell” about the 2020 fraud will be the vote totals for 2024. Right now, it looks like the combined vote totals for the two candidates could end up being tens of millions lower than the 2020 totals.

I saw the comparisons in states and sub sectors of states between harris now and byedone 4 years ago.

There is NO WAY I believe he did that much better.

The numbers I saw were ridiculous.

I could be wrong :) But that’s my opinion.

Exactly right.

It appears President Trump's totals will be very close to what he received in 2020.

Kamala Harris' totals will be about 15-20 million short of what Biden received in 2020.

Remover the scare quotes and that’s right.

Biden is fabulously popular. True Story. No Lie.

In retrospect, life would be a downer right now if Trump had won in 2020 and was preparing to leave office in January 2025.

Didn’t Trump get more votes in Georgia today, than Biden did in 2020?

RINOs would be having a field any trying to elect heir apparent Pence. Now we have hope for the future.

We have the added benefit of swapping out the blown out tire Pence with shiny new Vance.

It would be nice if Trump would go back and charge these people with election fraud.

I'm so happy that Trump will be the president on July 4th 2026 as our nation celebrates its 250th birthday.

Imagine what a suckfest this would've been if Kamala was presiding over it.

Kengor is wrong. Nixon was discredited by his loss in 1960 and his weak response to obvious election fraud. His attempted comeback in his home state of California failed two tears later. Only the 1964 Goldwater disaster opened enough political space for Nixon to recover by helping GOP candidates in 1966 and then capitalizing on his new standing in 1968.
