I’m not totally convinced the cayotes were attacking the dog. Seemed a little more playful and not very vicious. Just nipping at each other. Not full on attack. Maybe I’m wrong just my take from the video. Maybe testing to see if he wanted to join their pack.

Coyotes play with dogs as part of their feed frenzy. A Coyotes will sometimes play with a dog to entice it ti the pack so they can attack and dine.

Wild canids routinely kill other canids when they have enough numbers to mount an attack. This is about a predators’ territory.

Not playful. That’s how they attack. Nips and bites until they disable and then they rush in as a pack. Noticed that no one suggested that they shoot the things on sight.

Yes. They didn’t fight.

I’m not sure they were being friendly, but there was no attack or fight.
