I came across this trailer last night for this film staring Neal McDonough. I haven't heard of it and it was released this month. I rarely watch films in theaters these days as there are so few modern films that are worth seeing. But this looks pretty good to me. Has anyone here seen it? Based on the comments for the trailer Neal McDonough is non-woke and is a good guy.

I loved Top Gun Maverick. I know this one is not as good, but is it still worth seeing at the movies?

Throughout music history, bands have been formed by members who were friends or perhaps created by ambitious producers looking for the next Big Sensation. On the other hand, there are also bands that were born out of cartoons, television programs, and movies. They generally only performed as musical acts on the screen yet achieved the success of a traditional group by releasing records and videos, blurring the lines between real and fiction. While they may not have received major awards or recognition, real people did lend their voices to these pieces of vinyl. snp The Archies The Banana Spits The...

It's hard to think of a more everlasting and impactful science fiction property than "Star Trek." In 1966, what is now known as "Star Trek: The Original Series" premiered on NBC, the brainchild of creator, writer, and executive producer Gene Roddenberry. What made "Star Trek" unique for its time was its devotion to an optimistic vision of society, one where human civilization has moved past war and poverty, boldly going "where no man has gone before." This utopian future was reflected by a diverse cast, with the crew of the USS Enterprise including a woman of African descent (Nyota Uhura,...

MADRID, May 22 (Reuters) - Austrian singer JJ, who won this year's Eurovision Song Contest, called in an interview published on Thursday for Israel to be excluded from the 2026 edition in Vienna due to the war in Gaza. Eurovision, which stresses its political neutrality, faced controversy again this year linked to the war. An Israeli military campaign has killed over 53,000 Palestinians in Gaza, the enclave's health authorities say, since Hamas militants' cross-border attack on October 7, 2023 that killed around 1,200 people, according to Israeli tallies.

Ping the film mavens here please? You know I have a b&w film in my brain. About an older man i. He is perhaps 40s who wants to marry an 19 year old girl after a whirlwind romance. Upper class. He is about her motherâs age. Mother makes it clear to him that mother is dying and she is relieved that someone will be there for her young naive daughter and gives permission. It was a bittersweet film. I cannot find it. It rings no bells. I do not know whether I

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) was a prodigious composer, credited with 722 works that pushed the boundaries of music and ushered in the Romantic era. Yet, his personal life was marred by several health challenges. Beethoven continued working despite deafness (and what a curse that must have felt like for a composer of his caliber), gastrointestinal troubles, and jaundice. A year ago, scientists sequenced Beethovenâs genome from his hair. They found genetic risk factors for liver disease but nothing conclusive about his other ailments. Now, new research suggests lead toxicity might explain the composerâs suffering.
